​2025 Grizzly Cross Country- Pre-season

​​June-July Voluntary Open Workouts:

Practice- Monday through Thursday @ Walnut Grove Park:

8:30 am - 10:15 am 

Bring h2o, wear running gear, and a stretch mat.

​​​

All Workouts to include: 

Warm-up 1 mile - Stretch - Agility - Plyometric Drills - 

Workout - Underlined and BOLD

Cool Down 1 mile and Pick one: Striders / Walking Drills / CORE

Log your workout - digital - calendar

30  Mon- Time Trial- 

                  Varsity   Recovery 3+ miles 

        JV-Freshman   Recovery 2+ miles

​                  Pre-Run- Activate Muscles w/On-Off 100m x 4

                  Post Run- Active Drills

01  Tue-  Sustained Pace Run- 3 Groups according to Pace

                  Varsity   6 miles     

        JV-Freshman   4 miles

                  Pre-Run- Jump Rope/Bands x 3 sets  

                  Post Run- Form Striders x 6

               

02  Wed- Hill Run- Cox Hill Repeats

                   Varsity  Loop - Hill x 4 

        JV-Freshman  Loop - Hill x 3

                  Pre-Run- Alt Stretch/Drill

                  Post Run- 120m Finishers x 2

03  Thu- Tempo Run-

                   Varsity   7 min Easy - 31 min-  7 min Easy

         JV-Freshman  7 min Easy - 21 min  - 7 min Easy

                  Pre-Run Jump Rope/Bands x 3 sets

                  Post Run- CORE 5 x 3 sets:

                                Pretzel Stretch 

                                Diamond Push ups 12

                                Jumping Jacks 12

                                Walking Lunges 10m seconds

                                Side Planks 90 seconds

05  Sat-  Beach Run - Tamarack 

               Meet by rocks at lower parking-lot 8:30-10:15 am
